During the Warsaw, Poland Slipknot concert, before playing “Everything Ends”, #8 – Corey Taylor came up with this speech. It just blows your mind away.

Corey Taylor: “Holy shit. God, look at all these crazy motherfuckers. I’ll tell you what. We’ve been doing this professionally for a long time. In fact this year is the 10h anniversary of the very first Slipknot album being released. This year, 2009, this fucking year, can you believe it?

I’ll tell you right now. If it were not for you, and those like you, we would not be allowed or able to do this, so thank you so fucking much from the bottom of our hearts.

Something tells me that you understand, that you understand what it’s like to be looked down on, you understand what it’s like to be fucked with because you’re different, to be fucked with because you’re a misfit or you’re a freak or any fucking other line of names that someone, who will never understand you, chooses to fucking call you.

This band was founded on one principle, and one principle only. It was founded to look those motherfuckers square in the eyes, and say: ‘FUCK YOU MOTHERFUCKER! I AM WHO I AM!’

So with your permission I would like to dedicate a song to everyone outside these walls who would like to control you, and control me, and control all of us. Is that okay my friends?
